In partnership with GPJ and IBM, I was part of the creative team at The Mill+ to create this short film commemorating the 50th anniversary of NASA’s Apollo 11 mission. The film highlights IBM’s integral involvement in making the mission a reality and their legacy of technological innovation.
I was the lead designer and motion designer, tasked with conceptualizing the visual language to thread together the data visualisation moments (which used real IBM data) and archival NASA footage and diagrams, in collaboration with director William Arnold.

Two key data visualisations created by Mill+ technical artists, were derived from real data from the moon landing. My role was to design and animate the layout & supporting visual elements. This shot used real moon surface elevation data.
This shot mapped the speed of data to and from the moon, before and after the IBM System/360.
