To celebrate Nike’s Air Max Day, I was one of three Australian artists, alongside street artist Elliott Routledge (AKA Numskull) and paper engineer Benja Harney, to bring the design ethos of the brand’s famous Air Max sneaker to life. Paired with Nike, Inc. CEO Mark Parker (the ‘M’ of Nike’s HTM initiative), I directed an art installation projection piece that exhibited for one day only in Sydney for over 800 sneaker freaks.

Inspired by the ‘visible air’ concept as well as the OG Air Max 95 design of rain erosion, muscles and rock layers – the end result is a motion simulation that unearths the shoe’s sole forms, revealing the shapes of the visible air bubbles as they ebb and flow.
